Workshops for young people in the Paintings Gallery
Social media often presents a distorted image of beauty – perfect, filtered and far removed from reality. The YOUareART project highlights how these ideals influence our self-image and well-being.
As part of the project, the Art Collections offer free workshops for groups and school classes in the Paintings Gallery. Psychologists and art educators work together with young people on topics related to ideals of beauty, self-image and the influence of social media. In direct contact with original works of art, it becomes clear how ideas of beauty have changed over time and how they continue to shape us today.
The workshops provide space for creative experimentation and open discussion.
The project is aimed at young people, parents, educators and anyone who wants to question digital ideals of beauty and promote self-determination.
