Within the frame of the Lange Nacht der Forschung we explain the conservational challenges of the painting and take a look beneath the paint layers using infrared reflectography.

Time has left its mark on a drawing by an unknown artist. As part of the Lange Nacht der Forschung we look at the drawing from three different scientific perspectives: a restorer, an art historian and a chemist jointly reflect on the significance and preservation of this unique work of art.
